Welcome to Civray, where you have a choice of 2 idyllic rustic little private and independent cottages each offering wonderful views (sleeping 2/3) For those who enjoy real countryside, peace and tranquillity Civray offers a perfect getaway or peaceful retreat.
Cottage: 'Tranquille'
This charming little cottage is set within the grassy courtyard of Civray with its own private access and garden to the rear.
It also has a balcony off the upstairs bedroom giving delightful views over open countryside.
Accommodation
There is an open-plan kitchen/Lounge area with all the comforts you need for a relaxing stay in the French countryside. There is a wood-burning stove if required plus a comfortable sofa bed for additional sleeping arrangements . It has an adjacent shower & W.C. which makes it suitable for disabled guests. The rear door opens on to your own private shady terrace.
The oak beamed double bedroom on the first floor has all the charm you'd expect from a rustic French property with the added feature of the balcony with open views across rolling countryside. There is an en-suite bathroom off the bedroom
Cottage: 'La Petite Retraite' If you are looking for a rural retreat to recharge your batteries or start that book you always wanted to write, then come and stay in the calm, peaceful setting of Civray.
Time will stand still for you as you relax in this lovely part of Southern Touraine.
La Petite Retraite' has a shaded area at the front as well as its own little private area to the rear, giving open countryside views.
Accommodation
The cottage has an open-plan living area on the ground floor with a sitting/dining area plus kitchen. There is a bathroom downstairs.
The bedroom (double) is on a mezzanine above the sitting area. It has a unique, artist designed, balustrade. There is a toilet off the bedroom. Nearby:
You are also only 10 minutes away from the lovely village of Le Grand Pressigny with its chateau, prehistory museum and two restaurants and bars. The village has a charm of its own plus all the practical features of an active community such as a pharmacist, doctor, butcher, baker, grocer, bookshop, florist, hairdresser and hardware store.
If you are celebrating something special and want a dining experience then you can dine at the 'Mitchelin Star' “La Promenade” in the nearby village of Le Petit Pressigny. An unforgettable experience.

There is a good village shop (P.O.) and bistro/bar 2 km from the cottages in the charming village of La Celle Guenand.
