'Les Balcons' is a substantial house over two floors with a delightful raised balcony offering lovely views to give you a countryside feel but with all the village amenities. There is also a 'Juliet' balcony off one of the bedrooms.
The house is located in the charming village of Le Grand Pressigny, Southern Touraine in the Loire Valley. From the house it is only a few minutes walk to the village centre with its restaurants, bars and shops.
Accommodation: The house has a large comfortable salon with an open fireplace beamed ceiling and tiled floor. It is equipped with a cd player/ music centre, a television (sat) and dvd player.
The kitchen has gas hob, electric oven, integral fridge/freezer and dishwasher plus all you need in a 'home from home'.
There are feature French doors which lead on to the garden with area for alfresco dining. There is a nice uninterrupted view from the kitchen. The dining room, which seats six, leads off the kitchen. It has its original tiles and its own door to the outside dining space.
There are three double bedrooms all with double aspect windows making them light and airy. The main upstairs bedroom is beside the corridor to the balcony.
The second bedroom has French doors leading to a small Juliet balcony.
There is good sized study with a computer for your use complete with broadband connection. There is also a good collection of books, DVDs and CDs for you to use during your stay. There is a separate utility room with washing machine and dryer.
The house has a family size bathroom downstairs plus a well equipped shower room / wc upstairs.
The raised terrace is a lovely place for your aperitif or to watch the sun setting while sampling one of the local wines of the Loire Valley.
Evening views from the terrace
As well as the raised balcony you have other options for outside dining and entertainment
As you can see from the old postcard above our street has not changed much (apart from its name) over the last century letting you experience something of what it must have been like.
Here is our favourite view on the street, it is from the bridge just before the large house on the right - we think it is actually part of their garden! it is a view that changes with the seasons
